Denim Shirt//TJMaxx. Shirt//Vintage (Mom's!). Skirt//Thrifted. Tights//?. Leg Warmers//?. Boots//Forever 21. Lipstick//MAC Russian Red.

Guys. T-Shirts and skirts are like the greatest things ever. It's just as comfy as wearing a t-shirt and jeans but better. I'm a firm believer.

This same day, my eyes were super irritated and red. I'm not totally sure why but they were. I knew I would have to wear glasses so I figured I might as well roll with it, you know.

I found this t-shirt in a bag of my mom's old clothes. It says "The Best Girls Are From Hood River, Oregon". She lived there for a while and I think my mom is pretty cool so I guess it's true. And you know, the second best girls come from Marysville, Washington. Oh who am I kidding.

Valentines.

Dress//Thrifted. Sweater//Forever 21. Tights//?. Shoes//Payless. Ring//Forever 21.

I finally had a Valentine this year. It was this dress. I got it several months ago at the DI (Can I get a "Raise The Roof" for the kid's section?). I knew V-Day would be the perfect time to debut it. Overall, the day was fun but rather uneventful. But who cares when you've got a big ruffly, polka-dotted collar around your neck?

Obsession.

Last January, I was talking with my mom.
"Oh my gosh, have you heard of Downton Abbey?!"
"No. I live in the dorms. If the Australia all the sudden disappeared I wouldn't find out until 3 days later. I know nothing of the world."
"Ok, well you should try to find it on Hulu."

And then I promptly forgot. When I got home, she said we needed to watch it. We sat down one Sunday afternoon to watch the first episode (Costco had it on DVD for $15. Holla!).

First episode ends: "Oh. My. Gosh"

3 am, last episode ends: "When does the new season start?! JANUARY?! BBC! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!?!?!"

So this year, of course I had to catch my roommates up on it (to not only enlighten them but to also save myself from questions. And who doesn't want to watch it again? It was a win-win-win) We bought the first season and watched it over a few Sundays (we had a little more self control). Now we are all addicted.

We watch each new episode. We yell at the screen. We cry. We tell boys they can't come over during it. And when it's over, I am exhausted.

We look forward to it every week. I have been known to have a countdown once it hits about 1 on Sunday afternoon.

And if the drama wasn't enough, those dresses? The decor? The attractive men? Yes.

Love.

On a semi-related note, guess who just found out BYU has a History of fashion course?
This girl. Fall 2012, I'm coming for you.

EDIT: Have you guys seen the SNL sketch? I can't post it here but if you watch the Channing Tatum episode, you'll see it.

These Boots Were Made To be Cute

Sweater//Target. Shirt//Plato's (Originally Target). Skirt//H&M. Tights//?. Boots//Target.

I got these boots a couple months ago. Six. Dollars. Yes. Remember, I like my deals screaming. And then something tragic happened. They didn't fit. There were none left. I (almost) cried.

And then a great thing happened. I got them for Christmas! Now everything is well in the world.

Twist and Shout

Shirt//Atlas Vintage. Sweater//H&M. Skirt//Old Navy. Tights//?. Shoes//Payless Kids sans the laces.

Where to start with this outfit....How about a list? (I really like lists)

  • This skirt. it ended up being $1.50. ohhh yeaahhhh. Old Navy clearance rocks my world.
  • These shoes. My mother laughed at me when I told her I wanted some. Well, the jokes on her now! (There wasn't really a joke...that phrase just seemed to fit in this situation...)
  •  More on these shoes (new point, new bullet, of course). The laces in these shoes were really ugly. Like, I'm pretty sure they were tennis shoe laces. I like them without laces more but I'm thinking I'll add some black silky ribbon laces. What say ye?
  • This cardigan. I need a new one. Let me know if you know of any screaming deals. You see, I like my deals screaming (see point 1).

Do You Want To Make That A (color)Combo?

Sweater//Target. Shirt//Crossroads. Skirt//Forever 21. Tights//Forever 21. Shoes//Target

I've been seeing lots of hot pink and red around the blogoshphere for the past couple months. I was a little afraid to try it but when I found these tights a few weeks ago, I just had to experiment. Who doesn't love big bows and girly colors anyways? (Well, probably lots of people but they also probably don't read this blog :)

Are there any crazy color combinations you have tried or want to try?

PS. Happy February!

PSS 5 days until Wu. Woot! (See what I did there? :)
